Krishna's advice to Arjuna
Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana
- You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of the actions.
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani
– Do not let the fruit be the purpose of your actions, and therefore you won’t be attached to not doing your duty.
Our Constitution requires us to elect one able person per constituency as our representative in the Lok Sabha. It is our duty to send the best person offering himself in the elections to the Parliament. If for whatever reasons we chose to send a person other than the best..evaluated on crietria such as honesty, sincerity, track record of effectiveness and commitment to social justice, then we will have singularly failed in our duty. Failed to heed Krishna's advice.
I will vote sincerely.
